Saint-Remy-Geest

As a sign of permanent dynamism, our network has just welcomed a brand new village, bringing the number of “Most Beautiful Villages in Wallonia” to 31 members!

The labelling of a new village does not happen overnight! It is the result of several field visits and in-depth analysis by our various bodies (Quality Commission, Tourism Strategy Bureau, Management Team, Board of Directors).

The characteristics, context and development potential of the village of SAINT-REMY-GEEST, located on the territory of the City of Jodoigne in the Province of Walloon Brabant, have been carefully analysed and compared with the eligibility criteria of the Quality Charter of our Association.

It should be noted that Saint-Remy-Geest’s candidacy was supported by a popular consultation that garnered over 95% support from the inhabitants who voted.

The village of Saint-Remy-Geest was officially awarded the label on Saturday 14 May 2022 at the Association’s General Assembly and is now an integral part of the circle of the “Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia“!

Located in the four corners of the country, our 31 Most Beautiful Villages reflect the rich heritage, landscape and tourist attractions of rural Wallonia. Each one has its own identity, its history, its atmosphere, its warmth, its charm… which makes it unique for those who live there as well as for those who visit it.

Welcome to SAINT-REMY-GEEST !
