Barbençon Laforêt Lompret Mirwart Olne Soiron Sosoye Soulme Vierves-sur-Viroin Redu, Lesse & Séchery

When autumn adorns nature with its golden, orange and flamboyant red hues, the Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia offer a privileged interlude to contemplate the colours of the season and reconnect with the essentials. Here are a few ideas for places to recharge your batteries in our Beautiful Villages!

Ardennes

The Provincial Estate of MIRWART and its majestic castle, straight out of a fairy tale.

The Bois des Légendes in REDU and the Promenade des Légendes in LAFORÊT are two places where nature and legend combine to offer visitors who take the time to stop and look a splendid view of the village nestled in its green setting.

Fagne-Famenne

The chalk grasslands of VIERVES-SUR-VIROIN, a discreet junction between the Calestienne and the Ardennes, from where the fiery silhouette of the Château des Comtes de Hamal emerges.

The steep slopes of the Franc Bois listed site, a suspended parenthesis overlooking LOMPRET.

Walk along the Ermeton river in SOULME, following the water’s edge, and slow down…

Or the Lake of BARBENÇON, which stretches peacefully below the village.

Condroz

The Ranzinelle Mountain in SOSOYE, where the view stretches out over the curves of the Molignée River.

Land of Herve

The rolling countryside surrounding the beautiful villages of the Pays de Herve is perfect for a rejuvenating stroll among hedge-lined meadows, sunken paths and shimmering valleys.

So many places to meet up…
