Announced by its splendid 15th century keep-porch in Gobertange stone, the building marks the southern entrance to the village of Mélin. The porch, a vertical element that largely dominates the other buildings on either side, is the pivotal point of the entire square farmhouse. Equipped with a Gothic portal with a pointed arch, it commands the main access to the central courtyard and represents, with the barn, an emblematic architectural element of the large censes of the Brabant Hesbaye.

A long and sober single-storey building borders the entrance. Rebuilt in 1797, it shows the owner’s wealth through the details in Gobertange stone that abound on the façade: bases, window frames, corner ties, bolt holes, etc.
