The heart of Lompret is nestled about 5 kilometres from Chimay.
A 2.1-kilometre route takes you on a tour of the heritage and natural riches of the village of Lompret.
Its ancient core is the remnant of a feudal castle. The neo-Gothic parish church of Saint-Nicolas stands on the site of the castle chapel. The long village skyline has a simple, elongated 18th and 19th-century dwelling of limestone or light-coloured whitewash. Don’t miss out on the 18th-century bridge and the small religious heritage, they are worth a look.
Discover this rural environment in its green setting, all the more pleasant as there are many remarkable trees.
