Aubechies is a little green village near Beloeil in the province of Hainaut.
Are you ready for a 2.2-kilometre stroll through the village?
The square in Aubechies exudes a picturesque charm. Around the Saint-Géry church, a large green area called Espace Pierre Descamps houses the gîte, combining the former community house and the school. Listed houses and farms of character enrich the architectural heritage. For example… the Bruyère farm and its dovecote porch, the former Bruycker castle, its English-style park and vegetable garden, and the farmhouse of the Saint-Ghislain abbey.
There remains for you to discover in an open-air museum: the Aubechies archaeological site. It will introduce you to the fundamental changes that have marked civilisations and laid the foundations for our current lifestyles. Enjoy your stay!
