Limbourg: from the Place Forte to the Nez de Napoleon
From its rocky promontory, the capital of the former Duchy of Limbourg, the former stronghold of Limbourg, overlooks the narrow meander of the Vesdre.
From its rocky promontory, the capital of the former Duchy of Limbourg, the former stronghold of Limbourg, overlooks the narrow meander of the Vesdre.
Its location, on a rugged hillside enclosed by ramparts, gives it the appearance of a perched village that has managed to preserve its medieval architecture.
The route will lead you to breathtaking panoramas such as the “Nez de Napoléon”, a rock named after the famous character.
Between the Herve bocage, the woods and the valley, you will enjoy the peace and quiet before reaching the old fortified town, which is listed in its entirety as an exceptional heritage site in Wallonia!
