The aptly named Laforêt is located along the Semois in the heart of the Ardennes woodland. This rustic and charming place has kept many traces of the past emerging from the greenery.

You can still admire old schist buildings, two washhouses and circular drinking troughs, but above all, the old tobacco drying sheds, souvenirs of an activity that made the region rich.

During the hike, walk along the Semois and enjoy its meanders between steep wooded slopes. In summer, cross the famous “Pont de Claies”, which is reopened between mid-June and mid-September!
