A witness to the local bourgeoisie of the 19th century, this remarkable mansion opens its main whitewashed façade onto a carefully wooded courtyard.
This remarkable whitewashed mansion dating from the first third of the 19th century marks the northern entrance to the village, in a place called Basse Boulogne.
Witness to the emergence of a local bourgeoisie linked to the economic boom that the region experienced, its position in the immediate vicinity of the church and the castle gives it a different role from the other buildings in the village.
The house adopts an architectural style that deliberately departs from that of village farms to affirm the social status of its owner.
The main façade opens onto a courtyard carefully planted with trees, which is bordered by a gate so as to preserve the privacy of the inhabitants without hiding their wealth from the view of passers-by.
