The Medieval Oak Farm in Ragnies
A burst of white in the rural landscape of Ragnies.
A burst of white in the rural landscape of Ragnies.
A burst of white with orange reflections, the Medieval Oak Farm stands out in the rural landscape of Ragnies.
Established outside the village centre, the quadrilateral is surrounded by farmland crossed by the Marais stream.
This enclosed complex groups its limestone rubble buildings, whitewashed with lime, around a rectangular courtyard.
Of medieval origin, the farm seems to have belonged to the Abbey of Lobbes, like many of the buildings in the village.
