The village of Chardeneux was the seat of a primitive parish and was given a Romanesque church in the first half of the 12th century.
Surrounded by its cemetery, the Chapel of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin signals its presence in the distance with its slender spire and marks the heights of the village with its sober, elegant yet powerful silhouette.
From its square, open to the landscape, the buildings flow towards the valley floor.
