Within the framework of the project “Six pas vers l’art entre Samson et Lesse”, call for projects for the installation of a work of art in the village of MOZET.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The project “Six steps towards Art between Samson and Lesse” aims to create, in the long term, an “Art Trail” between 6 villages of the network “The Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia”: Thon-Samson (Andenne), Mozet (Gesves), Crupet (Assesse), Falaën (Onhaye), Sosoye (Anhée) and Celles (Houyet)

ABOUT WORKS OF ART

The works of art :

• will be contemporary in character,
• be permanent,
• must be integrated into the village context and correspond to the essence, the quintessence and the chosen location,
• be conceived and designed on the theme of the environment and be made from natural materials, if possible local and referring to the character and identity of the village.

ABOUT THE CALL FOR PROJECTS FOR MOZET

Each municipality has previously chosen the location, the material(s) to be used and the theme of the work to be developed according to their own characteristics.

For the work of art to be installed in MOZET :

• Theme: the theme will mainly refer to the exploitation of plastic clay which, in the past, gave the village an international reputation for the quality of its product. Other themes, related to the identity of the village, may also be used.
• Main subject: idem
• Location: LE BATY (at the crossroads between the Rue du Tronquoy and the Rue de la Résistance)
• Submission of applications: 20 September 2022 at the latest
