Former Baudart Brewery
Evidence of the village's brewing activity since 1847.
Evidence of the village's brewing activity since 1847.
In 1847, the former brewery disappeared.
The succession of extensions and adaptations to the activity can be seen in the series of adjoining buildings and in the rough masonry, which above all meet functional needs.
The bays in the roofs allow the storage of grain under the roofs, while the numerous chimneys (existing or walled in) bear witness to the stages necessary for the production of beer, notably the heating of the mash and the “cooking” of the wort.
Built at the beginning of the 20th century, the owner’s dwelling is adjacent to the farm buildings and bears witness to the success of the brewery: ground floor raised above the street, base, eaves and ashlar frames.
