Former court of justice of Chardeneux
Buildings from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries with seigniorial origins and former court of justice.
Buildings from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries with seigniorial origins and former court of justice.
Grouped around a courtyard intersected by the roadway, these 17th, 18th and 19th century buildings are dominated by the primitive dwelling, the dimensions of which may reveal a seigneurial origin, or even the former court of justice.
Transformed over the centuries, the defensive character remains visible: the living floor is raised, the bays, still partially blocked, only dimly illuminate the interior premises.
The successive constructions bear witness to the pacification of the territory with the construction of secondary dwellings on the ground floor and the widening of the bays.
The agricultural function also plays an important role (18th century stable wing, 1842 barn).
