Facades inspired by urban mansions, a symbol of economic growth and success for the Olne bourgeoisie of the 18th century.
Facades inspired by urban mansions, a symbol of economic growth and success for the Olne bourgeoisie of the 18th century.
In the 18th century, the economic boom led to a change in the architectural face of the village. The Olnois bourgeoisie displayed their success by building houses with facades inspired by the hotels built in town.
In contrast to the traditional houses, they stand out in the urban landscape through their volume, the geometry of their facades and the symmetry of their openings.
