Montaigle castle museum

Description

The museum retraces the history of the site, occupied since Roman times, and illustrates mediaeval life through a collection of articles found at the site (tools, tableware, coins, jewellery, etc.) and a range of military items (arrowheads, stone cannonballs, spurs, etc.). Recovered building materials (carved stones, stained glass, tiles, roof slates, etc.), models, reconstructions and a video help to picture the castle as it would have appeared in times gone by.
