Hermeton Valley
An unspoilt valley, free of roads and other buildings, with great landscape, geological and biological value.
An unspoilt valley, free of roads and other buildings, with great landscape, geological and biological value.
Covering the part of the Hermeton between the village of Gochenée and the confluence with the Meuse, it is one of the last valleys still unspoilt and completely free of roads and other constructions! The river is winding and wild. The slopes are steep and entirely forested.
The whole site (slopes and valley) is an area of great biological and landscape interest, and is included in a Natura 2000 area because of its great landscape, geological and biological value (otters, grouse, various rare or threatened plants).
