Château de Beloeil

Château de Beloeil © Aurélie Ducroze

The Beloeil estate has been the residence of the Princes of Line since the 14th century. Located in the “Land of Hainaut”, this vast seigniorial residence set in the middle of its moat was originally a medieval fortress but has been transformed into a pleasure castle over the centuries.

Each of the rooms has period furniture. The richness of their splendour and history is reflected in the numerous collector’s items on display.

The French garden, with its harmonious alternation of water and greenery, light and shade, is faithfully maintained in accordance with the original 1664 design. The park covers an area of 25 hectares and, together with the castle, forms one of the most beautiful ensembles in Belgium, and is listed as an exceptional heritage site in Wallonia.
