La Petite Beurrerie
Gîte fitted out in a real village house in blue stone. With 250 m² and four bedrooms, we can accommodate up to 9 people. The house has a private garden.
It is in this house of character, in 1948, that the love story between the Mathot family and butter was born. With his bicycle as the only means of transport, Arthur Mathot and his wife Marie-Josée will start the butter trade, still known today as Rochefort.
70 years later, the company took off a little further along the edge of the village, but the "La Petite Beurrerie" will remain. The family home has been completely renovated with the original materials. She welcomes you today to spend a relaxing moment in the green valley of the Lesse valley.
The gîte is located in one of the most beautiful villages of Wallonia, in Celles-sur-Lesse. Walks, descent of the Lesse river by kayak, adventure course, cycling, visit of the castle of Vêves, restaurants... a whole series of activities are nearby for the pleasure of adults and children...
